EL ULTIMO DIA " The last day" On our final day of operation we would like express our sincere gratitude to all of you for your support over the last 37 years. The memories you have shared with us have truly touched our hearts and brought a smile and an occasional tear to our faces. We promise we will do all we can to make your final visit as memorable as well and hope to see you at our West side location in the future. You will always be in our hearts and memories. UNO MAS! We'd like to thank everyone for the overwhelming response we've recieved over the last two weeks. Many of the thousands of comments brought back some great memories. But we have to admit we overlooked something. The Thursday after our scheduled Feb 17th closing is National Margarita Day. We just can't close the doors only days before that, so I asked our exhausted staff if they were up for another week and they said "bring it". So we'll be staying open until Saturday Feb 24th. And just in case you're wondering; no we're not delaying the closing like some place that has a closing sign in their window for years.So thanks again to all you great customers for this amazing send off. SALUD!

It's been our pleasure at Los Banditos East to serve our customers for almost four decades. You've provided us with the opportunity to get to know you and become part of our Los Banditos family, sort of like our own version of "Cheers". In many cases we've seen three generations of families come through our door. But recent developments have brought us to an impasse. Having lost, and soon to lose more, key employees and managers to retirement, along with competitive pressures, we were left with a dilemma. In an increasingly challenging hiriing environment how do we effectively staff both restaurants? We've always taken pride in the service provided by our staff and the consistency of the food we believe you've come to expect. With that in mind we've decided that the best option for the future of Los Banditos is to merge existing key personnel from the East side location to Los West. It seemed better to have one location with the best staff we could provide than two locations struggling to fill in the voids. So I'm sorry to say that our last day of operation day will be Saturday, February 17th. The staff here has agreed to remain here until that time to say farewell to our customers and share their stories. We're thankful to them for their loyalty and committment. We will leave this location with sad hearts but fond memories. You never made it seem like work to us, but more like having good friends stop in for dinner and conversation. We know that Doc, Becky, Craig, myself, and the staff at Los West will continue the tradition and welcome you with open arms. We will be forever grateful to you all for providing us the pleasure of having you as loyal customers. Who says Friday Fish has to consist of a couple pieces of perch with dry rye bread and a sliver of onion in a basket. We proudly serve Mariques' with fresh steamed vegetables and a side of rice. Or substitute french fries or a dinner salad if you like. Who thought perch could be so classy?

Thirsty Thursday! Why not stop in for a 3.00 house margarita or tap beer? We have Modelo Especial, Dos Equis Amber, Pschor Brau Octoberfest (So good why only serve it one month a year?) Noble Roots Cardinal IPA and Stilmank Perky Porter on tap.

Half price margaritas Wednesdays starting at 3pm till close. Don't worry. We give a glasses to go along with the litre.

Another way of choosing a ripe avocado is to pop of the remnant of the stem. If it's a nice green color where the stem was you're in business. If it's brown where the stem was it probably dark inside. Give them a try on the grill. Cut them in half. Remove the pit. Brush with olive oil. Season with sea salt and ground pepper and place on the grill pulp side down. Grill only long enough to leave grill marks. Brings out the natural nutty flavor of the avocado.
